Zachary Griffin

PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Zachary Griffin, 75, who died Monday, July 8, at his resident, will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 14, at New Come and See Church with Rev. Eric Cooley officiating.   Burial will be in the Mercy Seat Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.   Public visitation will be on Saturday from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Sunday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Griffin was a member and usher of New Come and See Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aljah Griffin and Pearl Bell; and a brother, Henry Brown.

Mr. Griffin is survived by a son, Zachary Prude of Port Gibson, MS; a special friend, Hortensia Moore of Port Gibson, MS; two granddaughters, Kristen Prude and Chinasa Prude, both of Chicago, IL;  cousins that was  raised as brothers, Willie Taylor and Elvin Archie, both of Chicago, IL, Elmo Cooper of Port Gibson, MS and Charles Cooper of Brookhaven, MS; and a number of other relatives and friends.
