Willie graduated in May 1978 from Port Gibson High School and continued his education at Utica Junior College, where he received his Associate in Applied Science Degree in Drafting and Design Technology in May 1980. He built a distinguished career spanning over 35 years at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station in Port Gibson, Mississippi, where his dedication and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike. A proud Mason, Willie exemplified the values of brotherhood and integrity throughout his life.
Willie was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his ATV, riding horses, and watching game shows and Westerns. But perhaps his greatest joy came from spending time with his three grandchildren, Kaisen, Caiden, and Keylann, who brought immeasurable happiness to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ellen Hall Thomas; and his siblings, Stella Thomas, Margaret Thomas Walker, Richard Thomas, Jr., Tommie Lee Thomas, Carolyn Thomas, Carl Lee Thomas, Ellen Ravenall and Annie Ruth Thomas.
Holding dear to his precious memories: a devoted wife of forty years, Cindy Thomas. Two cherished daughters, Kimber Symone Thomas and Kelsey Deshaunn Thomas. Three adoring grandchildren, Kaisen, Caiden, and Keylann. Two sisters, Rosie L. Walker and Mary (Martin) Doss. Three sisters-in-law, Maxine, Catherine, and Allison. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and kindness.
