PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Willie L. ‘Sonny’ Beasley, 69, who died Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the Claiborne County Hospital, will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Mount Burner M.B. Church with Rev. Ray Coleman officiating. Burial will be in the White Hall Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be held Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel from 1 p.m. until 5p.m. and Saturday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene ‘Nick’ Beasley, Fannie Jackson Collins and J.P. Collins; a son, Markese Beasley; a daughter, Danielle Beasley; and three sisters, Mary Beasley Shelton, Ethel Jean Beasley Brooks and Flora Tarleton.
Mr. Beasley leaves to cherish his memories, a wife, Pauline Rankin Beasley of Pattison, MS; 3 daughters, Shataque Beasley of Port Gibson, MS, Sha’Andrea (Phillip) Patterson of Vicksburg, MS and Anita Moore of Patterson, MS; five daughters and sons in love, Michael Rankin and Michael McComb, both of Pattison, MS; Johnetta Rankin Hedrick of Tillman, MS, Latrena Rankin and Keamber Prater, both of Port Gibson, MS; a brother, Dexter Beasley of Las Vegas, NV; five sisters, Curley Beasley of Pattison, MS, Evelyn Beasley, Gail Blunt, Gwendolyn Beasley, all of CA and Theresa Polk of Chicago, IL; 23 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
