PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Willeana Brady Wallace, 86, who died Tuesday, July 22, at her resident, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday , July 26, at Magnolia M.B. Church with Rev. Hugh Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church.
She is a member of Magnolia M.B. Church and worked with the Claiborne County School District for over 32 years as a custodian.
Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Wallace; her parents, William Brady and Rosie Lee Simms Woods; a daughter, Carolyn Fields; a son, Allen Brady-Simms; and two brothers, John L. Thomas and Robert Brady.
She is survived by two sons, Lee Andrew (Denise) Devine and Henry Bill Brady, both of Vicksburg, MS; two daughters, Shirley Devine and Bonita Brady, both of Port Gibson, MS; an adopted son, Kemrod (Beatrice) Short of Lorman, MS; two sisters, Bertha Revell of Capital Heights, MD and Sadie (Charles) Cobey of Nanjemoy, MD; Special grandson and granddaughter that she raised, Ronald (Celeta) Devine of Byrum, MS and Taleah Truitt of Jackson, MS; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Lillie and Jimmy McClinton, Maxine and John Newton and Ester Stallworth, all of Union Church, MS, Debbie and David Mixon of Brookhaven, MS, Ora Lee Glass of Port Gibson, MS, Edward and Verna Wallace of Arkansas and Martha Wallace of Fayette, MS; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including special friends and neighbors, Clarence and Bobbie Scutter, Mary Catherine Scutter and Janice Mitchell.
