Vivian E. Clark

HERMANVILLE, MS:   Graveside services for Vivian E. Clark, 79,  who died Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS will be held at 11:00a.m.,  Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Hermanville Cemetery with Rev. Preston Allison officiating.   Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel. Due to recent events affecting the nations, we ask that you take precautions; mask must be worn at the funeral home and the cemetery and will not be provided.

Mrs. Clark was born November 8, 1942 to the late Jeffery Jenkins and Lurlean Johnson-Hill. She attended school in Claiborne County.  Vivian married Lee Edward Clark and to this union three children were born.  She worked in manufacturing and the school district in Maywood, Illinois until she retired and moved back home to Mississippi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lee Edward Clark; and 8 siblings, George Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Tommy Johnson, Eugene Jenkins, Isaac Jenkins, T.J. Jenkins, A.J. Jenkins and Johnny Johnson.

Mrs. Clark is survived by a son, Michael Clark of Maywood, IL; two daughters, Alma Clark Wright and LaShawn Dunn, both of Hermanville, MS; two brothers, Jeffery Jenkins of Hermanville, MS and Preston Allison of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Ethel Mae Allen of Hermanville, MS, Bernice O’Quinn of Bude, MS and Dorothy Blue of Detroit, MI; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
