Timothy Morris Obituary

TERRY, MS: Funeral services for Timothy Bernard Morris, 57, who died Monday, December 22, at the St. Dominic’s Medical Center in Jackson, MS will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Blacks Chapel M.B. Church, 3425 Robinson St., Jackson, MS with Elder J. T. Robinson officiating.  Burial will be in Autumn Woods Cemetery, 4000 W. Northside Drive, Jackson, Ms 39209, with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, January 2, from 3 p.m. until 7p.m. at People’s Funeral Home Chapel,  and Saturday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church.   

 Timothy Bernard Morris was the first son born to Helen LeVon Dent Morris and Johnnie Earl Morris. He was a proud alumni of Callaway High School, Class of 1986, where he was a member of the JROTC. Because of his love for service, Tim enrolled in the Air Force in 1987. He later found Christ and was baptized at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. He met the love of his life in 2011, Carolyn Thomas, married in 2012 and together they continued to build a happy life in Terry, MS. Timothy was a business owner, Morris Trucking, LLC, where his main mission was to “help feed families” by providing opportunities to those who surrounded him.

 

Timothy was the life of the party and never met a stranger. He lived life with no regrets and encouraged others to responsibly do the same. The most important things in his life were his wife, his children, his family, and his Dallas Cowboys. He was a mentor, a friend, a father, and a brother. His life and legacy will always be remembered.

 

Timothy was preceded in death by his grandparents Daisy Morris, Dave Morris, and Geneva Dent, his mother Helen Levon Dent Morris Perry, his father Johnnie Earl Morris, his daughter Tahja Jeleese Morris, and his grandson Aiden Davis.

 

He leaves behind his loving wife Carolyn Morris; daughters Fashatta Allen and Ahna Morris, and son Taj Morris. He also leaves his stepfather, Jamie Perry, special aunt, Brenda Ellis, special uncle Joseph Houseworth, his siblings; Angela Morris, Kenneth Morris, Marcus Morris (Monica), Rodney Morris (Eleanor), Terrance Perry (Ivory), and Maurice Perry; his grandchildren, Journiee Davis, Jaiden Davis, and Jamari Davis; his sisters-in-law, Patricia Thomas Walls (John), Judy Thomas, and Barbara Epps, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
