Sharron Jean Dotson Howard

Funeral services for Sharron J. Dotson Howard, 72, who died Monday, August 22, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00am at True Faith Church with Rev. Henry Wilson officiating.   Burial will follow at the Dotson Family Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge.  Visitation will be Friday, August 26, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday from 10:00am until service time at the church.   Due to health precautions, a mask must be worn at the funeral home and the church and will not be provided.

Mrs. Howard was a member and choir member of Jerusalem M.B. Church where she served faithfully from an early age until her health failed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Prince Dotson, Sr. and Rosie Anna Gaines Dotson; two sisters, Kathleen and Gertrude Dotson; and four brothers, Prince Jr., Henry, Freddy, and Raymond Dotson.

Mrs. Howard is survived by her husband, Lee Andrew Howard, Sr. of Port Gibson, MS;  four children, Lee A. Howard, Jr. (LaDonna) from Laurel, Maryland, Larissa Jackson (Pierre) from Southaven, MS, Lamar Howard (Eboni) from Cedar Hills, TX, and Lenitra Beasley(Damone) from Vicksburg, MS;  12 grandchildren; two sisters, Essie Dotson of Port Gibson, Ms and Arthur Mae Wilson(Henry) of Rolling Fork, MS; and two brothers, Thomas Dotson and Charles Dotson (Cleo) of Port Gibson, MS.  Additionally, she is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
