PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Sharonda Rankin Parker, 38, who died Saturday, April 8, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, MS will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Port Gibson High School Gymnasium with Rev. Lonnie O’Quinn officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday from noon until service time at the school.
Mrs. Parker was a member and hard worker at Forrest Grove M.B. Church. She owned and operated MZ KP Beauty and Braids.
She is survived by her husband Kendrick Parker of Port Gibson, MS; two daughters, KenShariyah Parker of Port Gibson, MS and Keondria Parker of Dallas, TX; three sons, Kendrick Parker, Jr., KenDriq Parker, and Kenshod Parker, all of Port Gibson, MS; her mother, Annie Nicholas Odom of Port Gibson, MS; her father, Glenn Rankin of Port Gibson, MS; her father-in-law, Eddie Ray Parker of Port Gibson, MS; three sisters, LouVonda(Antonio Clark), ChiKuita Odom and Anguillia Gaines Tucker, all of Port Gibson, MS; a brother, Elmontra (LaShonda) Rankin of Port Gibson, MS; brothers-in-law, Darryl Parker and Kelvin Parker; sister-in-law, Lisa Patterson; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
