Rudolph E Waters

LORMAN, MS:  Funeral services for Rudolph E. Waters, Jr., 63, who passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Greenville, MS will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Mt. Olive M.B. Church, 3088 Hwy 552 West, Lorman, MS 39096, with Rev. Dr. Ray Earl Coleman officiating.  Please bring your fondest memories of Rudolph to share with family and friends. A repast will follow at the Alcorn State Bristow’s Dining Facility Gold Room. Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson is in charge of the arrangements.

Also known as “Chip,” “Chipper,” or “Ru Q,” Rudolph was born in 1962 to Kathleen and Rudolph E. Waters, Sr., of Lorman, MS.  He graduated from Port Gibson High School in Port Gibson, MS in the Class of 1980 and enrolled at Alcorn State University. There, he pledged Omega Psi Phi, and “Ru Q” graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education.  

Rudy’s outgoing personality served him well as he spent years working in sales. He also worked as an Extension Associate in the ASU Extension Program.

Along the way, Rudolph married twice, becoming the proud father of a daughter, Arielle, and three sons: Arrington, Ashton, and Rudolph, III. He’s also a grandfather of three. Chip will forever be remembered for his humor, kindness, and generosity.
