Michael Maurice Williams

LORMAN, MS: Graveside services for Michael Williams, 48, who died Saturday, March 8, 2025, at his resident will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2025 at McCay Cemetery in Lorman, MS  with  Rev. Barry Thompson officiating.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Jones; a brother, Gregory Eakins; and a sister, Jacqueline Jones.

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Cassandra Holmes Williams; a son, Kendelrick Holmes of Port Gibson, MS; a daughter, Shamira Holmes of Port Gibson, MS; his mother, Georgia ‘Hannah’ Jones of Port Gibson, MS; his father, David Gaines of Lorman, MS; three brothers, Fredrick Jones, Jr., Sommon Jones and Samuel Jones, all of Port Gibson, MS; three sisters, Michelle Jones of Port Gibson, MS, Cara Jones of Natchez, MS and Diane Jones of Houston, TX; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
