Michael Hale Henderson

PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Michael Hale Henderson, 70,    who died Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg, MS, will be held at 11a.m., Friday, December 29, 2023, at Greater St. Mark Church with Rev. James Jones officiating.   Burial will be in the Wilson Family Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Thursday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Friday from from 10a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Henderson worked in the Claiborne County School District, Port Gibson Police Dept. and Bechtel.  He was a Veteran in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ivy Henderson, and his parents, Frank and Mable Ross Henderson.

Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Shirley Henderson of Port Gibson, MS; two daughters, Tamara Henderson of Port Gibson, MS and Iris Henderson-Reagins of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren, G’Rhondalyn Davis, G’Meciah Davis, Ashya Warner, Michael Reagins, John Reagins and Alonah Brooks all of Dallas, TX; a great-granddaughter, Amier Fulbright of Dallas, TX; a sister, Peggy Adams of Greenwood, MS; three brothers-in-law, Nathaniel (Linda) Martin, and Fredrick Martin, both of Port Gibson, MS and Ira (Angie) West of Atlanta, GA; two sisters-in-law, Gardenia Griffin of Port Gibson, MS and Tommie Martin of Cleveland, OH; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including a god-son, Gerald King of Port Gibson, MS.
