PORT GIBSON, MS:  A Viewing/service for Melvin Carlos Taylor Zachary, 60,   who died  Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his resident will be held at 11:00a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.  Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson is in charge of the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Trespertean Taylor and a brother, Donald Zachary.

Mr. Zachary is survived by his wife, Sandra Gilmore of Jackson, MS; a son, Torrance Gilmore IV of Jackson, MS; a daughter, Trespertean Brianna Gilmore of Jackson, MS; his father, Melvin E. ( Ann) Zachary of New Haven, CT; a brother, Gregory Zachary of New Haven, CT; a sister, Shelia Zachary of New Haven, CT; a step-brother, Charles Sheppard of Lorman, MS; 3 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends.
