Mary Lee Nash departed this life in exchange for eternal life with the Lord on March 24, 2022. Mary was born on February 8, 1924 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnson (Edwyne). Mary lived her life to the fullness while taking time out planting flowers and decorating around the house. She loved her great granddaughter Nicole aka Pie Face. Mary surrounded her life around her husband before his passing. She dedicated her time and talents to things she loved to do; Mary loved her favorite BBQ sauce which she made on special occasions. She worked for Chrysler Motor Company for several years, and retired to move back to Mississippi and pursue her husband’s dream of owning and operating a retail store. She worked diligently with him until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Nash; four sisters, Carrie Bea Johnson, Willie Ethel Crystain, Thelma Robinson, and Evelyn White; an uncle, Willie Johnson; an aunt, Carrie Johnson; and a grandson, Brian Banks.
‘Mary leaves to cherish her memories, a daughter, Patsy Mixon of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Alice (Wardell Sr.) Odem of Jackson, MS; grandchildren, Michael Banks, Gladys Cartridge, Terrance Banks, and Patricia (Johnny) Daniels; 8 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews from Detroit, Michigan and Pittsburg, PA, and other relatives and friends.
