LaVonne Speed Jackson

HERMANVILLE, MS: Graveside services for LaVonne Speed Jackson, 57, who died Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at her resident, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, November 23, 2024 at St. Phillip Cemetery on Hwy 548,  with Rev. Frank Curtis officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lucius Speed, Sr. and L.T. Polk-Speed; and two sisters, Dollean Speed Green and Dorothy Speed.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, Lyndon ‘L.B.’ Jackson of Hermanville, MS; two sons, Leonard (Ansley) Jackson and Lawrence Jackson, both of Hermanville, MS; a daughter, LaDeidre (Shemar) Walls of Hermanville, MS; two brothers, Lucius (Lora) Speed, Jr. of Dayton, OH and Johnathan Speed of Vicksburg, MS; three sisters, Beverly (Arnold) Kelly of Vicksburg, MS, Lena Jacobs and Ann Moore, both of St. Louis, MO; an aunt, Hazel (Johnny) Hubbard of Port Gibson, MS; six grandchildren; and a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
