PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Kamarion Jashad Hyder, 18, who died Saturday, February 28, in Jefferson County in an automobile accident, will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Port Gibson High School Gymnasium with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery in Pattison, Ms with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 1p.m. until service time at the school.
Kamarion was a senior at Port Gibson High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Velma and Samuel Bell, Robert Rockingham and Betty Boykin.
Mr. Hyder is survived by his mother, Kimberly (Eric Bell) Hyder; his father, D’Elbert Boykin; three brothers, Shikeem (Mariah) Thompson, Amari Hyder, and Armani Hyder; two sister, D/Mekia Boykin and Takira Boykin; his grandmothers, Joyce Ann Hyder and Johnnie Rockingham; his grandfather, Willie Lynch; his bonus mom, Demetrace Mays; aunts and uncles, Dannie (Jaquella) Barnes, Quateshia (Hossan) West, DeAndrea (Brady) Chest, Joneecia Moore, TaMarcio McClure, JoLeecia Moore, Patrick Moore, Jr., Fastedra Moore, Jaylen Hyder, Sherre Brinner, Lakenya Derby, Walter Williams, D’Angelo Bowers, Tyrese Jackson, Lashonne Reynolds, Desmond Bell, Demond Bell, Shantoria Rockingham, Tony Johnson and Eboni Boykin; and a host of gradation-aunts, great-uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
