HERMANVILLE, MS: Funeral services for John WillIe Wells, 57, who died Saturday, February 11, at the Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS, will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, February 19, at First Baptist Church in Hermanville, MS with Rev. Johnny Hughes officiating. Burial will be in the Hermanville Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Sunday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Wells was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Wells and China Windmon Wells; his wife, Dorothy Henderson Wells; a sister, Corlean Hughes and four brothers, Earl L. Wells, Willie Wells, Jr., Israel Wells and Donnell Wells; and a step-daughters, Tameka Henderson-Johnson.
He is survived by two step-children, Latasha Henderson and Clark Henderson, both of Nashville, TN; three brothers, Robert Windmon of Hermanville, MS, Eddie Wells of Tillman, MS and Edwin Wells of Hermanville, MS; a sister, Adlean Wells of Hermanville, MS; three uncles, Isaiah Windmon and John Windmon, both of Hermanville, MS and Perry Howard of Biloxi, MS; an aunt, Mary Daniels of Chicago, Il; special caregiver, Pam Segrest of Pattison, MS; special brother-in-law, Johnny Hughes of Hermanville, MS; special nephews, Adam Hughes, Dwayne Hughes and Edwin Hughes, all of Hermanville, MS; special niece, Gabrielle Wells of Houston, TX; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
