LORMAN, MS: Funeral services for John David ‘Junebug’ Scott, Jr., 62, who died Friday, September 13, 2024, in Vicksburg, MS will be held at 2p.m., Sunday, August 22, 2024 at Mt. Olive M.B. Church with Dr. Rev. Ray Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Carbondale Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Sunday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, John David Scott, Sr and Emma Frances Howard-Scott.

He is survived by a brother, John Nash of Vicksburg, MS; five sisters, Mildred Hicks, Patricia Scott, Linda Scott and Kisha Scott, all of Port Gibson, MS and Annette Scott of Vicksburg, MS; three uncles, Charlie Scott of Naperville, IL, Wilbur Scott of McCalla, AL and Willie Scott of Chicago, IL; three aunts, Josie Ross of Chicago, IL, Ivie Nola Campbell of Huntsville, AL and Mary Cook of Dayton, OH; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
