PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for John Charles ‘JC’ Campbell, 90, who died Monday, November 13, 2023 at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS, will be held at 12p.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Pine Grove Christian Church with Rev. James Devine officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 11a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Campbell was a member and Choir member at Pine Grove Christian Church. He worked at the American Paper Tube and LeTourneau, Inc. For many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George Williams and Riley Killingsworth Campbell; his step-father, Willie Campbell and four sons, Harold Lynn Campbell, Thomas James Campbell, Gary Dorsey and Calvin Campbell.
Mr. Campbell is survived by five daughters, Deborah Monroe (Michael) of San Clemente, CA, Jacqueline Hedrick of Port Gibson, MS, Jewel Moore and Reneatia Jones, both of Pattison, MS and Linda Patton (Aaron) of Natchez, MS; two sisters, Rosalie McGee of Chicago, IL and Bobbie Jean Williams of Milwaukee, WI; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
