PORT GIBSON, MS: Graveside services for John Wesley Bell, 67, who died Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. Dominic’s Medical Center in Jackson, MS will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Bell Family Cemetery, 6080 ½ Hwy 462, Port Gibson, MS 39150 with Evangelist Emma Bell Robinson officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Toby Bell Sr. and Maddie McGhee Bell; and a sister, Lynetta Bagley.
He is survived by a son, Derrick Bell of Port Gibson, MS; a daughter, Aleice (Kyle) Williams of Port Gibson, MS; six grandchildren; DaMarcus Bell of Vicksburg, MS, Derrion Bell, Kameron Williams, Kyla Williams, Kassidy Williams and Kaleb Williams, all of Port Gibson, MS; four brothers, Toby (Deborah) Bell and Carl (Eleanor) Bell, both of Vicksburg, MS, and Tim Bell and Tony (Michelle) Bell, both of Port Gibson, Ms; three sisters, Pamela (Louis) Fisher of Vicksburg, MS, Emma (Bobby) Robinson of Hermanville, MS and Mary Burns of Terry, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
