PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Joanna Marie Neal Thompson, 61, who died Wenesday, July 23, at the University of MS Medical Center in Jackson, Ms, will be held at Noon, Monday, July 28 at Forrest Grove Christian Church in Pattison, Ms with Rev. Edmond Gibbs officiating. Burial will be in the church Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home and Monday, from 11a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Thompson, Sr; and her parents, Willie Neal and Annist Ruth Marshall.
She is survived by two sons, Anthony Thompson, Jr. of Port Gibson, MS and Joshua Earl Howard of McKinney, TX; a daughter, Annise Thompson of Mellisa, TX; three brothers, Adam Neal of Gulfport, MS, Willie Neal of Tallahassee, Fl and Michael Neal of Zion, IL; five sisters, Georgia Kelly, Stella Green and Cedella Neal, all of Port Gibson, MS, Deborah
( Dale) McGhee of Saucier, MS and Wanda White of Zion, IL; three grandchildren, Ainsley Joanna Thompson, Makai Washington and Marcus Washington, Jr., all of Melissa, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including special friends, Angela Chiplin and Allen Tarleton, both of Vicksburg, MS, and Pamela Ratliff of Lorman, MS.
