Howard Christopher Davis

MEMPHIS, MS:  Funeral services for Howard Christopher Davis, 62,  who died Thursday, April  20, 2023 at St. Francis Medical Center in Memphis, TN, will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at First Christian Church in Hermanville, MS.  Rev. John Eggleston will officiate and Minister Amanda Vincent will do the eulogy.   Burial will be in the Davis Family cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday from 1p.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Davis was a member of New Highway Church of God in Christ in Memphis, Tn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Davis, Sr; and a sister, Diane Davis.

Mr. Davis is survived by his mother, Bertha Davis of Jackson, MS;  his wife, Dianne Harris Davis of Memphis, TN;  two daughters, Amanda Vincent of Memphis, TN, and Adonis Holmes of Westwego, LA; four step-children, Dawnisha Norris of New Orleans, LA, Shawanda Harris of Paragould, AR, Danielle Harris and Isaac Alvis, Jr., both of Memphis, TN; four brothers, Jerry Davis, Ricky Davis and Johnny Hardy Davis, all of Port Gibson, MS and William Darrin Davis of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Patricia Shorter of Port Gibson, MS; 2 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
