FAYETTE, MS: Funeral services for Hazel Brown, 93, who died Friday, January 31, 2025, at her resident will be held at 11a.m., Friday, February 7, 2025 at Hollywood Baptist Church in Fayette, MS with Rev. Joseph Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Friday, from 10a.m. until service time at the church.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church. She worked at Headstart for forty-two years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Farmer and Rachel Gibson; and two sons, Robert Reed and Glenn Reed.
Mrs. Reed is survived by two sons, Calvin Reed and Ben Reed, Jr., both of Fayette, MS; three daughters, Catherine Reed, Shirley Reed-Williams and Rachel C. Reed, all of Fayette, MS; two brothers, Wendell Farmer of Vicksburg, MS, and James Farmers, Jr. of Port Gibson, MS; two sisters, Lucinda Farmer of Houston, TX and Rita Farmer-Hayes of Port Gibson, MS; 11grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
