PORT GIBSON, MS : Funeral services for Gloria Jean Noble, 73, who died Monday, July 25, at Merit Health River Region Hospital in Vicksburg, MS, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Welcome Baptist Church with Rev. Barry Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the McCay Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 2p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Due to recent events affecting the nations, we ask that you take precautions; mask must be worn and will not be provided.
Mrs. Noble was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lizzie Graham Noble; 5 brothers, George Noble, Thomas J. Noble, Alfred C. Noble, Samuel Noble, Jr. and Willie L. Windom; and one sister, Mary Catherine Wilson.
She was a member of the Addison High School class of 1966. She was employed at the National Plastic Plant for many years until she retired. She loved shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family. She never met a stranger.
Mrs. Noble is survived by a son, Kim (Tiffany) Windom of Vicksburg, MS; two daughters, Vialenia Windom of Port Gibson, MS and Sharon Windom-Summerall of Patterson, MS; a special friend, James Wilson of Port Gibson, MS; a sister, Bobbie (Lee Dell) Buck of Port Gibson, MS; 8 grandchildren, Kevin Claiborne, Komisha (Christopher) Edwards, Kevin Noble, Jermika Marshall, Ellesia (Byron) Myles, Stephanie Windom, Kyara Marshall, and Kenneth Summerall; 7 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends including the Windom, Noble, Graham and Wells Family.
