Glendia Ruth (Dorsey) Graise

PORT GIBSON, MS:  Funeral services for Glendia Dorsey Graise, 67, who died Sunday, January 19, at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, February 1 2023, at Mercy Seat M.B. Church with Rev. Jeremiah Lutch officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Luke Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday from noon until service time at the church.

Mrs. Graise was a member of St. Luke Christian Church.  She worked at National Plastic for over 20 years.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Russell Dorsey, Sr. and Ruthie Lee Hyder;

Mrs. Graise is survived by a son, Jermario Dorsey of Houston, TX; a daughter, Guamtarvia Katreace Dorsey of Port Gibson, MS; 2 grandchildren, JaMyron Dorsey and Jamarion Dorsey, both of Port Gibson, MS; a step-mother, Bertha Dorsey of Port Gibson, MS; eight brothers, James (Cinder) Dorsey, Johnny (Carolyn) Dorsey, Levi Dorsey, Elbert Hyder, Tommy Dorsey, Curley Shorts and Chief Russell (Courtney) Dorsey, Sr., all of Port Gibson, MS and Michael (Doris) Dorsey of Clinton, MS; eleven sisters, Carolyn (Walter) Mays, Ida Mae Dorsey, Joyce Ann Hyder, Vanessa (Eugene) Payne, Ethel ( David) Dorsey, Bobbie (Charles) Patton, Janie Dorsey, Peggy ( Charles) Dorsey Marshall, and Geraldine (Jermaine) Dorsey, all of Port Gibson, MS, Sharon (Earl) Jones of Yazoo, MS and Ruby Jean Dyer of Fayette, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends including special nieces, Earlean Flowers, DeAndrea Chess, Kimberly Hyder, Tracy Dorsey, Franchetta Matthews and Demetrace Mays.
