Georgetta Thomas

PORT GIBSON, MS:  Funeral services for Georgetta W. Thomas, 82, who passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her resident, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 27, 2024, at King David Christian Church with Rev. Percy Terrell officiating, Dr. Rev. Ray Coleman will do the eulogy.  Burial will be in Mount Israel Baptist Church cemetery, 835 Hwy 33, Fayette, MS with Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Georgetta Williams; her grandmother that raised her, Della Council and her grandparents, Bob and Gertrude Robinson.

She is survived by a son, Matthew Thomas of Jackson, MS; four daughters, Patricia (John) Walls, Judy (Harold) Giles, and Barbara Thomas-Epps, all of Port Gibson, MS and Carolyn (Tim) Morris of Terry, MS; a brother, Percy Williams of Chicago, IL; a sister, Mildred Foster of Denver, CO; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
