Emma Earls

VICKSBURG, MS: Funeral services for Emma Jean Earls, 69,    who died Monday, December 18, 2023 at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS, will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Awesome Christ Warriors Church with Co-pastor Loretha Hall officiating.   Burial will be in St. Peters Cemetery in Pattison, MS with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 1p.m. until service time at the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli and Willie Patterson Sayles and her husband, Birmingham Earls, Jr.

Mrs. Earls is survived by two sons, Silento Sayles and Tyrone Earls, both of Port Gibson, MS; two daughters, Chavon Earls of Port Gibson, MS and Torria Earls-Oliver of Vicksburg, MS; two step-sons, Lonell Earl Sr. of Fort Worth, TX and Calvin Richardson of Hermanville, MS; two step-daughters, Lizzie O’Quinn and Laura Earls, both of Port Gibson, MS; a brother, Aaron Sayles of Jackson, MS; four sisters, Louise Woodard of Chicago, IL, Annie L. White and Linda Sayles, both of Pattison, MS and Cathy Young of Jackson, MS; 31 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
