Eddie Green

PORT GIBSON, MS: Graveside services for Eddie Lee Green, 66, who died Friday, May 1, at  Claiborne County Senior Care , will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2026, at Pine Grove Cemetery with Rev. Carl Devine officiating. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Mack Smith and Johnnie Ruth Hyder; a son,  Eddrick Good; a brother, Danny Smith; a sister, Janice Hyder; and his wife, Betty Good Green.

Mr. Green is survived by four sons, Antoine Good of South Dakota, Eddie Good and Jeremiah Elmore, both of Vicksburg, MS,  and Curtis Major of Biloxi, MS; two daughters, Sherrie English of NY, and Laquinda Good of Denver, CO; six brothers, Sylvester Green, and Mackroy Smith, both of Port Gibson, MS, Malcolm Smith of Lorman, MS, Bob Burnett of Baton Rouge, LA, Willie Mack Polk of Dallas, TX, and Wayne Smith of McGregor, TX; five sisters, Christine Green, Dorothy Hyder, and Sandra Hyder, all of Port Gibson, MS, Jackie Smith of Lorman, MS, and Connie Hutton of Alabama; 17 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
