PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Eddie Mae Bethany Hedrick, 77, who died Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Claiborne County Senior Care, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, November 2, 2024 at Awesome Christ Warrior Church with Rev. Chester Watts officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10a.m. until service time at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Hester and Mary Lee Nash; two brothers, Matthew Hester and Rodney Hester and two sisters, Mildred Burks and Lettie B. Hester.
Mrs. Bethany-Hedrick is survived by two sons, James Bethel of Chicago, IL and Luther Bethel of Pattison, MS; a daughter, Naomi Bethel of Pattison, MS; four brothers, David Hester and Charles Hester, both of Hollandale, MS, Reuban ‘Bell’ Hester of Chicago, IL and Robert Hester of Mobile, AL; seven sisters, Alice Mae White, Rosie Henderson, and Emma Jean Hester, all of Chicago, IL, Martha Ann Green of VA, Marie Cobb of Cleveland, OH, Ethel Mae Williams of Fl and Ollie Tyson of CA; seven grandchildren; one great grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
