Dorothy (Shorter) Jenkins

HERMANVILLE, MS : Graveside services for Dorothy Jenkins, 84 , who died Saturday, October 1, at her resident, will be held at 2p.m.,  Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the Hermanville Cemetery with Rev. John Eggleston officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, the lineup will be at Thompson Funeral Home @ 1:30p.m.  Due to recent events affecting the nations, we ask that you take precautions; mask must be worn and will not be provided.  

Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Shorter and Mary Wilson Shorter; her husband, T.J. Jenkins and her siblings.

She is survived by three sons, A.J. (Latonya) Jenkins of Port Gibson, MS, Luster(Patricia) Jenkins and David Jenkins,  both of Hermanville, MS; five daughters, Roslyn Rogers, Ruthie Shorter and Gennie Shorter, all of Hermanville, MS, Ebbie (Wayne) Banks of Port Gibson, MS and Deanna Shorter of Jackson, MS; 20 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren;  and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
