PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Dereniece Cameron Marbley, 66, who died Monday, January 6, at her resident, will be held at 1p.m., Saturday, January 11, at First Baptist Church in Port Gibson with Rev. Kevin Winters officiating. Burial will be in the Thompson Memorial Garden Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday from 1p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Marbley was a member and choir member at First Baptist Church. She worked at the Claiborne County Family Health Center for 43 years.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Webster.
Mrs. Marbley is survived by a son, Eric (Ashlee) Peavey of Waco, TX; a daughter, Jennifer Marbley of Port Gibson, MS; her mother, Myrtis Hicks of Port Gibson, MS; a brother, Lester Cameron of Dallas, TX; four sisters, Nena (Percy) Williams, Beverly (Anthony) Harris and Deverly Cruel, all of Port Gibson, MS and Bonita Hicks of Houston, TX; special friend, Johnny Marbley of Port Gibson, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including LaDonna Davis, Alice Carter, Diane Davaul and Rhoda Turnipseed.
