Debbie Griffith

PORT GIBSON, MS : Funeral services for Debbie Griffith, 50,  who died Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Claiborne County Medical Center, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Morningstar M.B. Church in Port Gibson, MS with Rev. Larry Clark officiating.  Burial will be in McCay Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10a.m. until service time at the church.    

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Griffith, Sr. and Catherine Shoulders Griffith; a brother, Kenny Ray Griffith; and a sister, Irene Griffith.

Ms. Griffith is survived by a sister, Theresa Griffith of Port Gibson, MS; three brothers, James Griffith Jr., Michael Griffith, and Roy Griffith, all of Miami, FL; two uncles, Tim Evans of New Orleans, La and Leonard Griffith of Fort Lauderdale, FL; four sisters, Ruby Walker and Flora Jean Smith, both of Port Gibson, MS, Ida Mae Banks of Hermanville, MS and Nora Lee Sorrell of New Orleans, LA; a special niece, Quintero Johnson of Port Gibson, MS; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
