Dallas, TX: Funeral services for Dannie Gene Walker, Jr., 43,  who died Wednesday, November 1,  2023, in Dallas, TX, will be held at 11a.m, Saturday, November 18, at Magnolia M.B. Church, with Rev. Willie White officiating. Burial will be in Mountro Grove Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10a.m. until service time at the church.

He is survived by his father, Danny G. (Lahomer) Walker, Sr of Hermanville, MS; his mother, Colleen ( Charles, Jr.) Green of Port Gibson, MS; three sons, Dantavist T. Brown of Jackson, MS, Jakyrun Barnes of Port Gibson, MS and Jharoski Bingham of Mesquite, TX; four daughters, Zy’Niece Brown of Dallas, TX, Anjel Walton and Jamyma Barnes, both of Port Gibson, MS, and Dnyla Wilson of Hermanville, MS; a brother, Roy Tyrone Marbra of New Orleans, LA; five sisters, Shywondia R. McCalphin of Jackson, MS, Danielle G. Walker of Port Gibson, MS, Nora T. Walker and Sherika E. Walker, both of Vicksburg, MS and Jayla Walker of Hermanville, MS; three step-brothers, Dwayne C. Green of Byram , MS, Joshua Brown of Hermanville, MS and Jamieson Brown of Jackson, MS; two grandsons, Kaveon Brown and Kaiden Brown, both of Dallas, TX; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
