PORT GIBSON, MS: Funeral services for Cynthia Walker, 70, who died Sunday, December 28, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center in Sunnyvale, Tx, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Mt. Burner M.B. Church with Rev. Ray Earl Coleman officiating. Burial will be in St. Phillips Cemetery in Hermanville, MS with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10a.m. until service time at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Olivia Walker; two brothers, Eddie Walker, Jr. and Charlie Walker, Sr.; and four sisters, Carrie McCrey, Fannie Walker Smith, Alma Walker Weston, Wendy Walker McCay and Bertha Walker Green.
Mrs. Walker is survived by a son, Nathaniel (Phifer) Walker of Forney, TX; three grandchildren, D’Najah Walker of Port Gibson, MS, Darian Walker and Nathaniel Walker, Jr. both of Forney, TX; a brother, Jimmy (Linda) Walker of Port Gibson, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
