Curley Beasley Obituary

Celebrating the Life, Love, Legacy and Faith of “Curley Mae Beasley”

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day; and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8.

"A life well lived, full of love, kindness, and a giving spirit, came to a peaceful end on February 16, 2025 at Claiborne County Senior Care. This marked the end of an extraordinary journey that began on December 8, 1952, a journey filled with compassion, strength, and deep devotion to those she loved. GOD, in His divine wisdom, saw that His beloved daughter had fulfilled her purpose on this earth. Like a radiant flower in His heavenly garden, He gently called her home to rest in His eternal embrace. Though her physical presence is no longer with us, her legacy of warmth and selflessness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched."

Curley “Mae” Beasley lived the life that was promised by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was the fourth of five children born to her mother, Fannie Collins, holding a special place as the baby girl of the family. Ms. Beasley was preceded in death by her parents: Fannie and J. P. Collins, Charles Moore, Sr., and Eugene “Nick” Beasley; Grandsons, George “Hooty” White IV and Keith Beasley, Jr.; her Sisters, Mary Shelton and Ethel Jean Brooks; brothers, Willie “Sonny” Beasley and Amos Byrd; and non-biological siblings, Daisy Johnson, Flora Tarleton, and Leo Jackson.

She leaves behind a legacy in the hearts of many to cherish her memories: her devoted caregiver and daughter, Kedra Beasley-White of Pattison, Ms.; her beloved sons, Damone Beasley (Lenitra) of Vicksburg, Ms., Keith Beasley (Tina) of Terry Ms, and Kelby “Baby Boy” Beasley of Pattison Ms.; her cherished grandchildren, Damontae Hedrick (Yosalyn), Demarius Beasley, Damontarius Boulton, Kenya Beasley, Taylor Beasley, Jaxston Beasley, Latreveon, JaDaisha Davis and JaQuayla Johnson, Great-grandchildren:  D’Miyah and D’Kiyah Beasley; and Ava Hedrick. Her loving sisters, Evelyn “Lean” Washington of Simi Valley California; Theresa Polk of Chicago, Ill, Joyce Moore of Chicago, Illinois and Tiffany Jones of Vicksburg; Sister-in-love, Pauline Beasley of Pattison, Ms.; Brother: Charles Moore Jr.  Aunts: Edith Chipley and Mattie Jackson; loving God daughter and niece Myesha Brandon, and special niece Charlisia Richardson; a special friend:  Orlando Washington; her pastor, Dr. Ray E. Coleman and First Lady Sharon Coleman and the Mt. Burner Church family; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends."
