Clifton Dewitt Robinson Sr.

PORT GIBSON, MS:  Funeral services for Clifton D. Robinson,Sr., 69    who died Saturday, June 3, 2023 in Port Gibson, MS, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Christian Chapel Church with Rev. Rufus Edwards officiating.   Burial will be in the Thompson Memorial Garden  Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday from 10a.m. until service time at the church.

Mr. Robinson was a member, choir member and deacon at Christian Chapel Church.  He was also a member of the Christian Men’s Fellowship (CMF) .  He worked at American Paper Tube for many years before he retired and had worked at Market Street Wine and Spirits for the past 16 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Robinson and Gwendolyn Coleman Robinson; a son, Clifton Robinson, Jr.; a brother, Kenneth Robinson; and a sister, Patricia Robinson.

Mr. Robinson is survived by is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Robinson of Port Gibson, MS; two sons, Clarence Robinson of Dallas, TX and Kendrick Robinson of Port Gibson, MS; two daughters, Shawanda Dotson of Meridian, MS and Angela Parker of McDonough, Ga; two brothers, Charlie Robinson of Port Gibson, MS and John Robinson of Hermanville, MS; two sisters, Maggie Robinson of Hermanville, Ms and Lora Smith of Utica, MS; nine uncles, Bobby Robinson, Wilbert Coleman, Homer Wilkes, James Wilkes, Knox Coleman, Bernard Moore, Alfred Moore, Russell Moore and George Rodgers; 7 aunts, Mary Ann Jenkins, Morise Hines, Augusta McClure, Rosie Barrett, Margie Davis, Lucille Collier, and Thelma Mixon; 12 grandchildren; one great grandchild, and a number of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
