Bobby Lee Johnson

PORT GIBSON, MS:  Funeral services for Bobby Lee Johnson, 63,   who died Sunday, May 28, 2023 at the Claiborne County Medical Center, will be held at 2p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at First Christian Church in Hermanville, MS with Rev. John Eggleston officiating and Rev. Rickeu O’Quinn will do the Eulogy.    Burial will be in the Hermanville Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday from 1p.m. until service time at the church.

Bobby was a member of First Christian Church and a Mason with New Hope Lodge #86.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Georgeanna Hicks Johnson of Hermanville, MS; two sons, Bob’Kendrick Johnson of Port Gibson, Ms and Tahiti Johnson of Hermanville, Ms; two daughters, Jasmin Truitt of Vicksburg, MS and Brekala Johnson of Hermanville, MS; his mother, Ethel Mae Allen of Hermanville, MS; three brothers, James Johnson and Melvin Allen, both of Hermanville, MS and Leroy Allen of Jackson, Ms; seven sisters, Gloria Dotson, Carolyn Spiller, Darlene Hulbert, and Barbara Clark, all of Hermanville, MS, Ruby Thaxter of Chicago, IL, Bessie Caldwell of Leland, MS and Willie B. Ledlow of Greenville, MS; father-in-law, Willie Lee Campbell of Port Gibson, MS; mother-in-law, Helen M. Hicks of Hermanville, MS; four grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and other relatives and friends.
