Bobbie Jean Buck

PORT GIBSON, MS : Funeral services for Bobbie Jean Buck,82, who died Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the Claiborne County Medical Center, will be held at 11a.m.,  Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Welcome Baptist Church with Rev. John Blunt  officiating and Rev. James Buck, Jr. will do the eulogy. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.

She was a member, choir member and on the mother’s board at Welcome Baptist Church.  She worked at Piggly Wiggly for over 30 years.

Mrs. Buck was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Lizzie Graham Noble; her parents that raised her, Mary Addie and Sim Jackson; 5 brothers, George Noble, Thomas J. Noble, Alfred C. Noble, Samuel Noble, Jr. and Willie L. Windom; and two sisters, Mary Catherine Wilson and Gloria Jean Noble.

She is survived by her husband Lee Dell Buck of Port Gibson, MS; a son, Darrell (Betty) Noble of Port Gibson, MS; a daughter, Juan (John) Claiborne of Las Vegas, NV; five grandchildren, JoJuan Claiborne of Las Vegas, NV, Darrell Freeman and William Noble, both of Baton Rouge, LA, Kelsey Freeman of CA and T’Ondrea Noble of Jackson, MS; six great-grandchildren, Nya Freeman and Gavin Freeman both of CA, Yahya Freeman, Aaliyah Freeman, Nasir Freeman and Karina Freeman, all of Baton, Rouge, LA; a brother-in-law, Louis A. (Caroline) Buck of Port Gibson, MS; six sisters-in-law, Beatrice (Isiah) Windom of Hermanville, MS, Willie ( Julius)Pigott and Dorothy ( Ronnie)Harris, both of Jackson, MS, Lula B. Buck and Barbara Buck, both of Port Gibson, MS; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
