PORT GIBSON, MS: Graveside services for Bob Meagail Banks, 51, who passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024, in Hermanville, MS, will be held at 3p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Banks Family Cemetery, with Rev. John Eggleston officiating. There will be no visitation.
Mr. Banks was preceded in death by his father, Luther Bob Edwards; a sister, Nicole Jackson; and a brother, Ron Christopher Banks.
He is survived by his mother, Lillie Ruth Edwards of Hermanville, MS; his wife, Sherry Banks of Hermanville, MS; two daughters, Teondra Banks of Kennesaw, GA and Brittany Banks of Overland Park, KS; three sons, Bob Meagail Banks, Jr. of Cartersville, GA, Bobdrekius Banks and Brand Banks, both of Hermanville, MS; two step-sons, Warteuz Williams of Hermanville, MS and Wartreuz Williams of Port Gibson, MS; three brothers, Shawn LaDale (Jennifer) Banks of Hermanville, MS, Luther (Yack) Edwards IV of Jackson, MS and Willie (Marla) Edwards of Del City, OK; four sisters, Carolyn Ryals and Bobbie Jean Banks, both of Jacksonville, FL, Victoria (Marlon) Jones of Vicksburg, MS and Felecia Jones of Oklahoma City, OK; mother-in-law, Mattie (Melvin) Allen of Hermanville, MS; father-in-law, Julius Truitt of Port Gibson, MS; three grandchildren; five aunts; eight uncles; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
