Albert Gines Obituary
PORT GIBSON, MS : Funeral services for Albert Jean Gines, 62, who died Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his resident, will be held at Noon, Saturday, November 11, at New Beginnings Pentecostal Church, 5088 Hwy 61S, Port Gibson, MS 39150, with Pastor Rufus Edwards officiating. Burial will be in McCay Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 11a.m. until service time at the church.
Mr. Gines was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Henry and Martha Gines; step-mother, Alma Lou Henry; two brothers, Bernard Gines and Allen Henry Gines; and four sisters, Bertha Brown, Erma Jean Gines, Shirley Gines Watson and Gloria Gines.
He is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Henry of Chicago, IL and Josie (Robert) Gines Skinner of Grand Prairie, TX; two brothers, John Gines and Abe (Pearl) Gines, all of Port Gibson, MS; 5 nieces, 6 nephews, and a number of great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.
