VICKSBURG, MS: Funeral services for Adam Davis Reed, Jr., 52, who died Monday, January 5, in Vicksburg, Ms, will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Mercy Seat M.B. Church with Rev. Ray Earl Coleman officiating.  Burial will be in the church Cemetery with Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Port Gibson in charge of the arrangements.  Visitation will be Friday, from 1p.m. until 5p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel and Saturday, from 10a.m. until service time at the church.   

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Davis Reed, Sr. and Rosie B. Ross-Reed; his wife, Daphne Reed; a sister, Jacqueline Reed; and a brother,  Zachary Parker.

Mr. Reed is survived by four sons, Ricky Flowers and Jeven Reed, both of Vicksburg, MS, and Adam Reed, III and Michael Reed, both of Dallas, TX; 3 daughters, Jazme (Kawayne) Reed-Gaston of South Carolina, Eboni Reed and Amariana Reed, both of Vicksburg, MS; two sisters, Mary Ann Reed Wright (Donald) of Vicksburg, MS and Sandra Waites of Port Gibson, MS; two uncles, Willie Roy Parker of Port Gibson, MS and Andrew Parker, Sr. of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
